The County Commission officially received Deron Geouque's budget for 2012-13. The $54 million dollar budget as proposed keeps the tax rate, addresses the Old High School property, Funds the school system at the same level as last year, and adds 3% for the Sheriff’s budget for prisoner health, fuel, cars, and the two new dispatchers and Emergency Management Director positions.  It also gives county employees a 2% cost of living raise.  Geoque told commissioners the budget has, for the 4th year in a row, no capital outlay, and he told commissioners they need to get “back on track” for capital outlay expenses.  First budget session is Thursday evening, with the Board of Education at the second, next Monday.
