Watauga High baseball coach Pete Hardee has announced that Tuesday's scheduled varsity game between the Pioneers and Alexander Central will be moved up to a 4:30 p.m. start because of the threat of rain. The forecast for Taylorsville is calling for cloudy skies a 30% chance of rain with a high of

75 degrees Tuesday afternoon. The chance of rain will increase to 60% Tuesday night. The JV game, if the weather permits, will follow the varsity contest. Our coverage begins at 4 p.m. on Oldies 100.7 FM.
Also WHS Athletics Director Tom Wright has announced that the Pioneers scheduled softball game with West Wilkes Thursday has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled, because there's no room left on the schedule to squeeze it in.
The Blackhawks had a (Mountain Valley 1A/2A) conference rain out that was rescheduled for this Thursday, April 19. The WHS softball team is scheduled to play at Alexander tomorrow; they return home to play South Caldwell on Friday.
