Two injuries came from a nearly head-on collision on Shull’s Mill Road just before noon Sunday. The wreck was on the stretch of Shull’s Mill approaching NC 105 toward Boone, occurring when Michael Scarborough’s phone rang, and he told trooper Townsend that he looked down
at the phone and apparently drifted left of center in his Chevy van. There he struck Zachary Parrish’s Honda, injuring Parrish and his passenger, Allie Ulmer of Phillips Branch Road, Boone. Both the Old Turnpike Road man and Ulmer were transported by Watauga Medics to Watauga Medical Center for treatment of injuries, but neither appeared seriously hurt. Michael Scarborough, of Linville Creek Road, Vilas, was cited for Left of Center in the crash that did considerable damage to both vehicles. |
