Jason Allen Laws, a suspect wanted by the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, was reported as in Avery County on Easter Sunday night in the Newland area.  The Avery Sheriff’s Office says he is an extreme flight risk and has tried to run over law enforcement in the past.
