Rashad McCants, who played on the University of North Carolina's national championship team in 2005, has been released by a pair of professional teams in Puerto Rico. He has played in the

National Basketball Association Development League the last two years. McCants was chosen by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 14th pick overall in the NBA Draft in 2005. He also played briefly with the Sacramento Kings.
