Watauga High Track & Field coach has announced that senior Reid Harris has set a new school record in the men's pole vault. Harris set the record during Friday night's twilight meet at

Lake Norman, N.C. Harris cleared the bar with an effort of 14-feet, nine-inches to win the event. Harris also broke the school mark of 14-5 set by former pole-vaulting coach Danny Isaacs during his senior year in 1997.
Also, a correction concerning the men's 1,600-meter run. The results that were posted were wrong. Andrew Vandenberg finished second in the 1,600, not Dustin Hickernell. The Pioneers travel to St. Stephens for a four-team meet on Wednesday.
