Another Scam In Watauga PDF Print
Written by Christie James

Another scam to report in Watauga County. The Sheriff’s Office reports a scam involving a white man in his mid 30’s who goes to a residence and requests work doing roofing, vinyl siding and window replacement. He asks the homeowner for payment in advance.

He then leaves, never returning to complete the work. If you believe that you have been or are approached by this person in the future, contact your local law enforcement agency. The Watauga County Sheriff’s office also says that they are continuing to investigate what appears to be a mobile, workable meth lab hidden in the woods on Jack Hayes Road. The investigation is ongoing. We will bring you news as it is available. If you have information on this property, call the Sheriff’s office at 264-3761.
