Visitors’ facilities along the Blue Ridge Parkway have begun to open for the season. In our area, the craft center at the Cone Manor outside of Blowing Rock opened earlier this month.
The Linville Falls campground opens April 6th, while the picnic area at Linville Falls will open April 13th. The Price Park picnic area is open all year round. Most visitors’ centers will open April 27th. The popular Ranger-led campfire programs, nature walks and other interpretive services will get underway in June. Remember, the Parkway remains subject to springtime snow and ice. Access to these activities remains on a weather-permitting basis.
