Emergency services from two counties rushed to the scene of a crash last night on US 421 at the Wilkes-Watauga line in the midst of heavy rain.  Reports from the scene said that a vehicle had rolled over near the truck sand pit and that there were injuries involved.  The injured, though, refused transportation after being checked on the scene. The state patrol was looking into what part the weather and standing water might have played in that wreck.
