Yellow Mountain Enterprises’ Exceptional Citizens will be exercising Avery County Humane Society’s adoptable shelter dogs at the Jingle Bell Fun Walk and Silent Auction on Saturday, December 10, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30a.m., in Newland. So put on a warm coat, show your support and contribute to these good causes by walking along!
Registration is $5 per individual and $10 per family, at 9:45 a.m. in the Newland Town Square. Your leashed dog walks for free! Jingle bells are provided!
And don’t miss Santa!!!! Santa Claus will be coming with bells on to hear what children want for Christmas this year. Plus Santa Paws and his elf will be there to hand out dog treats. Enjoy Christmas music, cookies, hot chocolate and other yummy things to eat and do some Christmas shopping at Newland shops.
A silent auction of Christmas Stockings will round off the hour. Beautiful stockings are stuffed with a wide variety of tempting treats, from candy and toys to gift certificates from some of your favorite Avery County restaurants and businesses. All proceeds benefit the operations of Avery Humane and Yellow Mountain.
Individual sponsorships are available for $10 and business sponsorships for $25.
Yellow Mountain Enterprises is a vocational program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Avery County Humane Society saves animal lives through sheltering, adoption, education, immunization and spay/neuter programs.
