Several summer incidents have Watauga County Crimestoppers asking for
your help. Between June 14 and 15, the Tomato Shack on N.C. 105 was broken into and approximately $30 was taken. Earlier that month, a storm glass door of a residence on Bamboo Road had its glass door shot out with a paintball gun.
Also in June, $2,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from the bathroom of a
church located on Bamboo Road. The jewelry included a gold wide band diamond
cluster ring and a yellow gold narrow band diamond cluster ring. In late May, a residence on Elk Creek Road was broken into. A leather tool belt, hand tools, and a commercial size disc sander were among items stolen. Anyone with information on these crimes is encouraged to call Watauga County Crimestoppers at 828-262-4555.
