Madison Bumgarner is on a roll.

The lefthander from Hickory, NC, won his fourth consecutive game Friday night as the San Francisco Giants defeated Colorado Rockies 9-1 at coors Field in Denver, CO. Bumgarner (12-12) evened up his record, and won for the 12th time in his last 18 decisions.
He went seven innings, he gave up an unearned run on six hits, a walk and three strikeouts. Bumgarner is 4-0 since August 31. He's given up three earned runs in his last 28 1/3 innings of work with seven walks, 35 strikeouts with a 0.96 earned-run-average during that stretch.
And the Giants (81-70), riding a six-game winning streak, trail the Arizona Diamondbacks by six games for first place in the National League West; they trail the Atlanta Braves by five games in the NL Wildcard race. the New York Mets beat the Braves 12-2 Friday night at Turner Field; San Diego blanked Arizona, 2-0.
Bumgarner will make his next start, most likely his last one of the season, next weekend in a huge series against the Diamondbacks in Phoenix, AZ.
