Crimestoppers alert: La Quinta theft |

Watauga County Crimestoppers is looking for information
about a theft at the construction site of the new La Quinta Hotel in Boone.
In
the evening or early morning hours between August 24th and 25th,
someone is believed to have taken sheets of granite, used for counter tops,
from the construction site. The granite missing is gray in color and very heavy.
Police say two people might have been needed to lift the sheets. Anyone with
information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 828-262-4555.
