Watauga County Crimestoppers and Boone Police seek the public’s assistance in solving a theft from Sunday August 21st at approximately 6:30 a.m. In that, two men took used batteries and scrap brake rotors from behind the Custom Muffler & Tire on the Highway 105 Extension. Surveillance images show both were white males of average height, one older with grey hair, a grey beard, and a grey t-shirt.  The second suspect was younger with a tan ball cap and a grey short sleeved button down work shirt. Anyone with information on this crime or any other crime is asked to call Crimestoppers at 828-268-6959.  All information will be kept confidential.
