Condos Damaged in Saturday Fire PDF Print
Written by Steve Frank

Boone fire investigators spent their Saturday afternoon and evening probing the cause of a mid-afternoon fire at High Country Condos on West King Street.  The fire call came in at about 2:30, as residents heard noises and then saw smoke in unit 406.  Arriving Boone firemen found the smoke and appeared to have found a source for the fire, but were concerned that the fire might have climbed up a wall and into the attic area.  A ladder truck put firemen on the roof of the condos to possibly cut into the roof, as smoke was still leaking out of that area, but firefighters inside found the cause of that and handled the blaze without having to cut into the roof.  The cause and damage estimates should come from Boone fire today or Monday.
