Two local teenagers were arrested on charges of making a false police report. On August 4th, Brandon Hicks and Isaiah Romero, both 17 years old, reported to police that they had sustained minor injuries as a result of intervening in a sexual assault of a woman in progress near King St. Both later admitted to investigators that no assault had taken place and that their injuries were the result of horseplay.
The two were taken before a magistrate, and then released on $1,000 unsecured bonds with September 13 court dates.
