Hudgins Earns All-Academic Track & Field Honors PDF Print

Brandon Hudgins (Rock Hill, S.C./Northwestern/Winthrop) was named an all-academic track & field team honoree by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2010-11 season.

Hudgins, an exercise science graduate-student, is one of 420 Division I athletes to qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team.  To earn such accolade a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25, finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by in the indoor season, and participated in the NCAA Division I Championships in the outdoor season.

Hudgins earned all-SoCon honors in the one mile at the SoCon Indoor Championships and all-conference honors in the 800 meters and 1500 meters events at the SoCon Outdoor Championships.  He also competed in the 1500 meter event at the NCAA East Regional.
