The Suns (58-49, 18-19) took an early 1-0 lead by scoring an unearned run in the top of the second.  David Freitas started the inning reaching on a throwing error by Odubel Herrera.  One out later, Freitas moved to second on a single by Jason Martinson; a two-out RBI single by Sean Nicol brought Freitas home for the 1-0 lead.
The Crawdads (63-43, 23-15) tied things up in the bottom of the third. Kellin Deglan led off with a single and moved to second when Braxton Lane walked one out later. Jurickson Profar tied it with an RBI single to right field, driving Deglan in from second base to make it 1-1.
Hagerstown jumped back in front with two runs in the top of the fourth.  With one away to start the inning, Wade Moore reached on a single and raced all the way home on an RBI triple from Nicol.  Nicol quickly came home on a Chris Curran's sacrifice fly, giving the Suns the 3-1 advantage.
Hickory chipped away in the bottom of the fourth inning.  Tomas Telis started the stanza with a single, followed immediately by a walk to Andrew Clark.  After a pop out, Herrera ripped an RBI single up the middle to plate Telis and cut the deficit to 3-2.
