ASU Single-Game Tickets on Sale Wednesday PDF Print

Single-game tickets for Appalachian State University’s six regular-season home contests this fall go on sale Wednesday at 9 a.m.

As has been the case for each of the past several years, sales are expected to be brisk when the single-game tickets go on sale and reserved seats for some games could sell out as early as Wednesday, particularly the Oct. 22 homecoming matchup versus Samford and the Oct. 29 Black Saturday showdown versus Georgia Southern.

Single-game tickets cost $25 for adults and $15 for youth (ages 3-12) for the Mountaineers’ home dates versus North Carolina A&T (Sept. 10), Savannah State (Sept. 17), Chattanooga (Sept. 24) and Western Carolina (Nov. 12) and $30 for adults and $20 for youth (ages 3-12) for the much-anticipated duels with Samford and Georgia Southern. A $2 Kidd Brewer Stadium enhancement fee is added to each ticket.

Appalachian’s remaining allotment of tickets for its five away games will also go on sale to the general public on Wednesday. ASU’s allotment for the Nov. 19 regular-season finale at Elon is completely sold out and its allotment for the Sept. 3 season opener at Virginia Tech is fast approaching sellout status. With the strong possibility that Appalachian’s allotment of Virginia Tech tickets may sell out prior to any becoming available to the general public on Wednesday, the best bet for those wishing to purchase tickets from ASU’s VT allotment is to buy Mountaineer season tickets or a mini-season package as soon as possible.

Single-game tickets can be purchased online at GoASU.com, by phone at (828) 262-2079 or in person at the ASU athletics ticket office, located in the Holmes Center. Online purchases can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week while the ASU athletics ticket office is open for phone or in-person sales from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday.

PRACTICE BEGINS ON FRIDAY

Fall camp officially opens on Friday when Appalachian holds the first of 29 practices in anticipation of the Sept. 3 season opener at Virginia Tech.

Per NCAA regulations, will conduct four practices before strapping on full pads for the first time on Tuesday, Aug. 9 and will hold its first two-a-day practicies on Wednesday, Aug. 10. All practices are closed to the general public.

Fans will have several opportunities to follow the Mountaineers throughout fall camp. On Saturday, the Appalachian IMG Sports Network crew will broadcast live from ASU’s annual Media Day on GoASU TV. David Jackson, Steve Brown and Randy Jackson will give in-dept previews of the 2011 campaign as well as conduct exclusive interviews with a multitude of Mountaineer players and coaches. The broadcast begins at 10 a.m. and is available to GoASU TV premium subscribers both live and on-demand.

The only opportunity for fans to see the Mountaineers in-person prior to the opener in Blacksburg comes on Aug. 20 when ASU holds its annual Fan Fest at Kidd Brewer Stadium. In addition to Appalachian’s traditional intrasquad scrimmage, autographs and pictures with Mountaineer players and coaches and activities for the whole family, this year’s Fan Fest features a concert by country-music star Corey Smith. Tickets cost just $10 with free admission for ASU season-ticket holders and students.

Fans can also get all of the news from the practice field by following GoASU.com for exclusive reports, photos and video updates.
