John Knox II of Salisbury ran for 111 yards and scored on a 50-yard pass play following an on-side kick in the second quarter that gave the West a commanding 16-0 lead.
Former Watauga coach Adrian Snow (now in his fourth year at West Forsyth) called the on-side kick that delivered the knockout punch. Defensive lineman Stephen Burns of Alexander Central had a quarterback sack as he dropped Laron Ellerbe of Richmond Senior on the very first play of the game.
