Juniors Rained Out PDF Print

The Watauga Juniors and Wilkes were rained out Saturday afternoon.

The District 7 championship game has been rescheduled for Sunday afternoon at 2 pm in Wilkesboro. Watauga must defeated Wilkes twice to win the district title. Watauga made it to the championship game by blowing out Morganton 20-3 in a five-inning game (because of the ten-run mercy rule) Friday night at Optomist Park in Boone.
In the 11-12-year-old division, Morganton advanced to the District 7 championship game by eliminiating Wilkes American 12-0 Saturday afternoon at Memorial Park in Wilkesboro. Morganton will play Watauga Monday night in the championship game.
A game time and location for that game will be announced Sunday night. Watauga made it to the finals by defeating Morganton 9-8 last Tuesday night. Watauga put together a two-run rally in the bottom of the sixth to win the game. Hamilton Castle drove in the winning run with an RBI single.
