The Watauga National 11-12 year-old softball team lived to play another day on Saturday.

Watuaga National eliminated Ashe County, 5-4. The 11-12 year-olds will now play Wilkes Monday night at Memorial Field in Wilkesboro at 5 pm. Watuaga National must win twice to win the District 7 title.
The Watauga National 9-10 year-olds were elminiated Friday night, losing to Avery 18-6 in Newland.
In Little League baseball, Watauga National, the 11-12 year-olds, defeated Watauga American in a winners-bracket game 11-0 at Optomist Park. Watauga National will now play Morganton at Catawba Meadows Tuesday at 5 pm. Watauga American travels to Wilkes American in an elimination game Tuesday night. That game will be played at Memorial Park in Wilkesboro at 7:30 pm.
