The College Football Hall of Fame has announced details for its 2011 enshrinement events, during which Dexter Coakley will officially become Appalachian State University’s first Hall of Fame inductee on July 16 in South Bend, Ind.
Following a grand parade through the streets of downtown South Bend, Coakley and this year’s 19 other inductees will receive their official College Football Hall of Fame blazers during a public ceremony in the Hall of Fame’s Gridiron Plaza at noon on Saturday, July 16. Admission to the blazer presentation, which is part of the College Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Fan Fest, is just $5 and free for children ages five and under.
That evening, the inductees will be permanently enshrined into the College Football Hall of Fame during a dinner and show at the Century Center Convention Center. The event, which includes dinner, full-bar service, a silent auction to bid on unique memorabilia and items autographed by this year’s HOF class and a Hollywood-style show featuring enshrinee interviews and more, costs $175 per person, $50 for children five and under or $1,200 for a table of eight.
