Styers 21st At NCAA National Championships PDF Print

Senior Malcolm Styers made his NCAA National Championship debut Thursday afternoon at Drake Stadium as the thrower competed in the hammer.


Styers recorded a throw of 196-feet, 6- inches, marking his third best toss of the season. The mark was good for a 21st place finish out of 24 competitors. He was the Southern Conference champion in the hammer throw and he was also named the Most Outstanding Field Performer in the SoCon this season.
A handful of Mountaineers' wrap up competition at the USATF Junior and Senior Nationals Meet, which begins June 22 and concludes June 26 in Eugene, Ore.
