Thursday night's season-opening double-header between the Watauga Blast and Happy Valley at Happy Valley High School in Elizabethon, Tennessee was rained out.

The game will be made up next Tuesday, June 14 at 6:15 pm. Watauga is coached by Jerry Moretz and Brad Issacs. The team consists primarily of players returning to the high school team next spring. But there are a few rising freshmen on the squad this summer.
The team will carry 25 players, including players that are as young as rising sixth graders. All the games are played at Happy Valley High School in Elizabethton, TN and will start at 6 pm (with the exception of Tuesday's game). Watauga plays every Thursday, and all games are double-headers. The Blast will use the current high school players Tuesday night, but they plan on mixing things up in the coming weeks.
