$10,000 in theft and $150,000 in damage has lead to the arrest of a West Jefferson man on Breaking, entering, and Larceny charges.  On Friday, the Ashe County Sheriff’s Office arrested Streeter James Blowers, age 26, charging him in the break-in at Furches Evergreens’ warehouse in West Jefferson

in which $10,000 in copper pipe and wiring was taken.  Blowers was also charged with Injury to Real Property which resulted in the destruction of refrigeration units so as to steal the copper tubing.  Estimated damages to the refrigeration units is approximately $150,000. Blowers has bonded on a $10,000 secured bond.  He will appear in District Court for probable cause hearing on June 16, 2011.
