Madison Bumgarner is beginning to age like a fine wine.
The left-hander, who lost his first six decisions of the year before he cracked the win column against the Los Angeles Dodgers on May 19, turned in another strong effort Wednesday night against the Florida Marlin at AT&T Park in San Francisco. Bumgarner was long gone when the Marlins, who blew a 6-2, ninth-inning lead, rallied to beat the Giants 7-6 in 12 innings.
Giants' catcher Buster Posey may miss the rest of the year with a fractured bone in his lower left leg. Posey, the cornerstone of San Francisco's World Series Championship, was injuried following a home-plate collison with Scott Cousins of the Marlins in the 12th inning of Wednesday night's game.
