During Tuesday evenings’ Boone Town Council meeting local architect, Randy Jones, presented his latest version of proposed renovations to the historic Downtown Boone Post Office. During a previous presentation the Council indicated they wanted the main entrance relocated and some parking space regained.
Mr. Jones was able to accomplish these requests and keep the project within budget limits the council had established. During his presentation Mr. Jones shared that with these revisions he was still able to incorporate the Historic Downtown Boone Association’s recommendations and meet the State Historic Building guidelines. Now it goes to the regional office for approval. The Council unanimously approved the revisions and was complimentary of Mr. Jones work on the project.
