A Fleetwood man has been arrested by Ashe authorities, charged with felony child abuse in an incident involving an 8-year old child.  Ryan Bennett King, 34, was arrested on April 30, charged with Felonious Child Abuse Resulting in Serious Physical Injury. He was held in the Ashe County Jail under a $25,000 cash bond, then after a May 5th hearing, King was released on a $50,000 secured bond.  He is currently awaiting a probable cause hearing.
