Tuesday's scheduled game between the Hickory Crawdads and the Greensboro Grasshoppers at L.P. Frans Stadium was rained out.
The teams will play a doubleheader, consisting of two seven-inning games, at L.P. Frans Wednesday. Game one begins 4 pm, the second game start at 7. All tickets for Tuesday's game may be redeemed for a future Crawdads 'game of equal or lesser value this season. All Reading Program tickets will be good for the game against the Charleston River Dogs on Wed., May 25 at 7 pm with a pre-game parade that night. For questions, please call the Crawdads front office at (828) 322-3000. NOTES: The Crawdads have endured rain the last two days. Monday's game with Augusta was suspended in the top of the 11th inning. Augusta had scored a run to take a 6-5 inning before the game was stopped by a 42-minute rain delay. But because the inning was not over, the run didn't count and the score reverted back to the previous inning---a 5-5 tie in the 10th. The game will not be completed.....Wednesday is Guaranteed WINsday - if the 'Dads don't win either game of the doubleheader, all fans will get a FREE ticket to a future game this season. It is also Unemployment Night - show your NCESC-issued debit card or printed online statement for 4 free tickets! Gates open at 3 pm.
