Steady rains in the region washed out Tuesday's baseball schedule.

It also pushed the playoff schedule back another day. The Porter Ridge-East Gaston game scheduled for Tuesday night was rained out and will be played Wednesday at 5 pm. The winner of that game gets Watauga High in the Western Quarterfinals on Friday.

In Class 3A, the Fred T.Foard-South Pointe and Hickory-Asheville Erwin games were rained out as well. Those games have been rescheduled for Wednesday night.
