Anderson trial: Second date not set |

The Caldwell County District Attorney’s Office still
has not decided when, or if, Sawmills murder suspect Jerry Anderson will return
to court.
Anderson was has been charged in the 2006 murder of his wife, Emily
Anderson. A Superior Court judge declared a mistrial last month after jurors
were unable to reach a unanimous verdict. Officials could decide to drop the
murder charge altogether. The District Attorney’s office is still not
commenting, and defense attorneys have yet to hear anything from the
prosecution. In the meantime, Anderson is out on bond.
