The Watauga High 4x800 relay team has one more race on its schedule this season.

The team of Hailey Middlebrook, Darby Middlebrook, Julia Roberts and Hannah Barbour has qualified for the New Balance Nationals June 16-17 at North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro. This comes on their heels of their strong showing at the Class 4A state track meet last Saturday, ironically at the same facility.

That group finished third in the time of 9:21.27. The qualifying standard for naitonals was 9:25.
And their time of 9:21.27 also ranks them fifth all-time in the state of North Carolina.
