| Four LRU Players Earn All-Southeast Region Honors In Softball |

![]() Four members of the Lenoir-Rhyne University Softball Team have been named to the 2011 Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region squads. Junior pitcher Dawon Millwood (Hixson, Tenn.) earned first-team all-region accolades for the Bears. Millwood, the 2011 South Atlantic Conference Pitcher Of The Year, is currently 27-4 on the season with a 1.32 earned run average and 168 strikeouts. Millwood is a two-time all-region (2010-11) and three-time all-conference selection (2009-11) who has compiled a 66-12 mark so far in her Bear career.Junior second baseman Carlee Carpenter (Newton, N.C.), sophomore first baseman Jessica Fellmeth (Waxhaw, N.C.) and freshman outfielder Jody Mizelle (Colerain, N.C.) were all named to the All-Southeast Region Second Team. Carpenter garners all-region accolades for the third consecutive season and is currently third on the squad in batting average (.367) to go along with a team-leading 62 hits and 23 doubles. Carpenter has also been named to the All-SAC First Team for the past two years (2010-11). Fellmeth, a first-team all-league pick this year, is second on the squad in hitting (.371) in addition to eight home runs and 37 runs batted in this spring. Mizelle leads the Bears in home runs (15), runs batted in (43), runs scored (53) and total bases (118) so far in 2011. Mizelle was a first-team all-conference selection this spring as well. All four players have led Lenoir-Rhyne to a 44-8 record and a current No. 6 national ranking this year. L-R also captured both the 2011 SAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships in addition to winning the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Tournament this past weekend at home. Lenoir-Rhyne will face No. 2 North Georgia (50-9) in the Southeast Super Regional for the second straight year beginning this Friday. The site has yet to be determined by the NCAA. The first-team selections will move on to the All-America ballot. The Daktronics All-America programs honor student-athletes in Division II athletic programs. The voting, nomination and calculations are all conducted by the region's sports information directors. The Bears will play North Georgia in the Super Regionals in Dahlonega, Ga. Friday and Saturday. The winner advances to the Women's College World Series.
