Appalachian State University outfielder Allie Cashion added one more Southern Conference accolade to her resume on Saturday as she became the fifth Mountaineer in program history to be named to the SoCon All-Tournament Team at Eagle Field in Statesboro, Ga.

Cashion joins Jordan Arnold (2001, 2004), Amber Handy (2004), Yancy Moose (2006) and Kayla Richardson (2009) as the only Appalachian State softball players to be named to the prestigious squad.
The Waxhaw, N.C. native led ASU with a. 467 batting average, collecting seven hits in 15 at bats, while scoring two runs. Included in those hits was the sophomore’s career-best 14th double and eighth home run.
Cashion also added seven RBIs, giving her a team-high and career-high 46 runs batted in. She slugged .733, a team best and was tied for second on the team in on base percentage with a .529 mark.
Prior to the tournament start, Cashion was awarded first-team honors for the first time in her career.
The Mountaineers ended their season with a 26-24 record and notched only the second winning season in school history.
