![]() Watauga High baseball coach Pete Hardee has announced that the Pioneers first-round playoff game with Olympic is being moved to Thursday night because of inclement weather in the forecast for Friday.
Game time is set for 6 pm. Our coverage begins at 5:30 pm on Oldies 100.7 FM. The right-hander Jake Watts will get the starting nod. Watts is 7-3 with a 2.78 earned-run-average with a save. Watts, who pitched a four-hit shutout against St. Stephens in the opening round of the Northwestern 3A/4A Conference tournament last Wednesday, came on and pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief in Saturday's title game against South Caldwell.
