Early Friday morning, deputies with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on Linville Falls Hwy., leading to a South Carolina man being charged with a number of counts.

Forty-two year Charles Marvin Neelands of Gaffney, SC,  a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested and charged with several drug violations and a large amount of cash was seized.  Just what business Neelands had in the area was not revealed in the ASCO release.
