Officers from a number of area law enforcement agencies participated in checkpoints in the High Country Friday night.  The license checks scanned for impaired drivers, tag and other violations.  The Parkway Ranger's checkpoint (US 321 and the Parkway Bridge just outside the corporate limits of Blowing Rock) held Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
