Kate Griewisch of Lenoir-Rhyne University finished seventh in the 10,000-meter run at the Penn Relays Thursday night.

Griewisch, making her second appearance at the event, finished the race in 35:20.84. Hollie Knight of Auburn won the race in 34:10.98. Griewisch finished fourth in this event last season.
Griewisch has qualified for the outdoor nationals in the 10,000. She did that by finishing second at the Raleigh Relays back in March. She ran the race in the school-record time of 34:39. The outdoor nationals will be held in Turlock, CA May 26-28. Griewisch is a two-time All-Amercia in women's cross country, and she was also named Division II Southeast Region Indoor Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Year by the US Track and Cross Country Coaches Association. She just missed All-America status at the indoor championships in Albuquerque, NM in the 5,000-meter run.
