A motorcyclist was injured late yesterday afternoon when he ran into the rear of a stopped pickup truck. The accident occurred at about 4pm on Hardin Street in Boone, the motorcyclist striking the rear of the truck, flipping the cyclist into the back of the truck where his head struck the tailgate. Medics rushed the man to Watauga Medical Center where Boone Police say he had a CAT scan for brain injury that appeared to have favorable results, and injuries were regarded as not serious.  Boone Police have the accident under investigation.
