Forward Harrison Barnes has announced he will return to the University of North Carolina next season.

Barnes, the Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the Year this past season, averaged 15.7 points-per-game. He becomes the third Tar Heels' player to spurn the NBA. Tyler Zeller and John Henson announced earlier this month that they will return next season.
Barnes was a second-team All-ACC selection and led North Carolina with 67 three-point field goals. He increased his production in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 21.0 points in four games.
The Tar Heels (29-8) were eliminated by Kentucky in the East Regional finals of the NCAA tournament.
