Villanova University Board of Trustees have delayed a vote concerning a potentional move of its football program from the Football Championship Sub-Division to the Big East and the Football Bowl Sub-Division.
A statement released by the University on Monday said it needed more time to perform the due diligence regarding Villanova's potential football membership. If Villanova joins the Big East, it would become the 10th football member of the conference, following TCU's arrival in 2012. Villanova's arrival would likely be in 2014 or '15, following a mandatory two-year provisional period.
