![]() Watauga High baseball coach Pete Hardee has comfirmed that the Pioneers will play Providence Saturday in a varsity-only double-header on Saturday at Pioneer Field. It all gets underway at 1 pm. The double-header includes the March 26 game that was rained out down in Charlotte. The Pioneers have a busy week ahead with a pair of Northwestern 3A/4A Conference games on the schedule this week.Fred T. Foard comes to town Tuesday night; Alexander Central comes to town on Friday. The Pioneers, who are in second place, currently lead Hickory by one-half game and Alexander Central by one game for that No.2 seed. Our coverage for those two conference games begin at 6 pm. Coverage of Saturday's double-header with Providence begins at 12:30 pm. All those games can be heard on Oldies 100.7 FM. No make-up dates have been announced for North Davidson (postponed on April 2) and Mount Tabor (rained out last Saturday).
