North Carolina native Cameron Maybin continued his hot hit for the San Diego Padres Sunday afternoon at PETCO Park.

The former T.C. Roberson standout homered, tripled and drove in two runs as the Padres defeated the Dodgers 7-2, salvaging the final game of that three-game series. For the year, Maybin is hitting .276 with two home runs, four RBI. But he has struck out eight times in 29 at bats this season.
Former South Caldwell standout, Madison Bumgarner (0-1) will face the Dodgers Monday night at AT&T Park in San Francisco as the Giants begin a three-game set against Los Angeles. Bumgarner lost his season-opening debut against San Diego last Tuesday. He coughed up three earned runs in three-plus innings of work.
