![]() Watauga High baseball coach Pete Hardee has announced that Saturday's non-conference game with North Davidson has been postponed because of inclement weather.
No make up date has been announced. Hardee hopes to reschedule the game, either on a Wednesday night, or on Saturday, April 23. It's only the second time the Pioneers have had a game called off this season. The Pioneers (8-3 overall; 4-2 and tied for second place in the Northwestern 3A/4A Conference) had their game with Providence rained out down in Charlotte last Saturday. No make up date has been announced for that game, either. And according to WHS Athletics Director Tom Wright, the WHS-South Caldwell baseball, softball, and soccer games scheduled for this Tuesday night have been rescheduled and will be played on Monday instead, due to next week's weather forecast. A 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Tuesday. Our coverage of the WHS-South Caldwell baseball game Monday night begins at 6 pm on Oldies 100.7 FM. The WHS-Avery women's soccer game schedule to be played Friday night in Newland is still on as scheduled.
