Friday’s Southern Conference baseball series opener between Appalachian State University and Wofford has been moved up to 3 p.m. in an attempt to avoid the rain forecast for the High Country on Friday evening.

The rest of the three-game SoCon series is expected to be played as scheduled. After Friday’s 3 p.m. opener, the Mountaineers and Terriers are scheduled to play Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. at ASU’s Beaver Field at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium.
