Fog—and maybe some slick spots—are being reported by the Sheriff’s Offices of the High Country this morning. With temperatures hovering near freezing and the overnight rain, the potential for slick roads is there.
Watauga reports mostly thick fog as the main travel trouble, while there’s fog and some black ice in Avery. Ashe reports some fog but no reports of black ice so far. The remaining rainfall should be drizzle, but it may continue through tomorrow, with temps today only warming to about 40 and into the low 40’s tomorrow, so it may be a raw day or two for us, weather-wise. Word of the morning? Caution as you head out. |
