On March 14th, Avery County deputies with their K-9 unit made a vehicle stop on NC 105.  A search of the vehicle revealed a mason jar of marijuana and several Schedule III controlled substance pills.

Arrested were Jason Vansliedrecht, 34, of Fleetwood,  and Daniel Ray Niebel, 45, (no photo available) of Sugar Grove.  Each was charged with possession of marijuana and Aggravated Possession of Schedule III controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tiffany Church, 28, of Newland was arrested and charged by Avery County Sheriff’s Deputies for simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. This was from a vehicle stop in which the K-9 was used.
