![]() Kate Grieswish finished ninth at the Division II National Championships in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday. The Lenior-Rhyne University junior and Banner Elk native finished the women's 5,000 meter run in 17:18.14. She was one place shy of earning All-American honors. Monica Kinney of Grand Valley State won the race in 16:28.02.Griewisch is a two-time NCAA Division II All-American (2009-10) in women's cross country. She was ninth at nationals in the 10,000-meter run last year in Charlotte. Griewisch, who was named the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Female Athlete of the Year, also holds the school indoor track and field records in the mile (5:05), the 3,000-meter run (10:11) and the 5,000-meter run (16:45).
