Theresa Ann Horton, age 51 of Boone, has been charged with two felony counts of forgery and two felony counts of uttering a forged endorsement. The charges are a result of an investigation into checks written by Mrs. Horton.  Horton is alleged to have written unauthorized checks against an elderly relative’s account. Mrs. Horton turned herself in to Boone Police and was taken before a Watauga County magistrate where she was assigned an April 5, 2011 court date and released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
